I really love Mihawk, because everywhere else the guy who Zoro’d have to beat would be some basic 2D asshole we don’t anything sorry for, but Mihawk’s just so geniuenly nice? Doesn’t kill Zoro when he easily could, even encourages him to surpass him and then takes him in and teaches him for 2 years? Also, when Luffy gets his first bounty he immediately runs to Shanks to show it off, only because of a story Shanks told him more than 10 years ago? He also lets Perona stay with him, and is just doing mundane everyday shit with her like cooking? And when he suspects that his days as a Shichibukai are numbered it’s her he’s worried about? Like wow man. I just love Dadhawk so much. And how he’s allowed to be an actual, sympathetic charater instead of just a “goal”.
